British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos announced on Wednesday night. The athlete was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the loss of his two dear friends.”
