British Airways will offer no-cost quick in-flight connectivity via satellite partnership
Flyers on the airline can soon enjoy fast internet during flights at no cost after a recent agreement involving the billionaire's communications firm.
Complimentary plus Fast Internet Available to Everyone
British Airways announced that the complimentary, “quick and reliable” connectivity provision through the satellite provider becomes available to customers in economy, business, or premium cabins as of next month.
Widespread Deployment Over Several Airlines
The holding organization of the airline, International Airlines Group, stated it had secured an partnership involving SpaceX to offer internet services for 500-plus aircraft operated by the group's operators, such as the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, and the low-cost airline.
Seamless Wifi from Boarding to Landing
BA noted that this rollout for this technology was included in a £7bn “modernization” initiative that will offer smooth connectivity access to travelers from boarding to landing, also when in flight above large bodies of water and isolated areas.
Travelers may link multiple devices while won't need to need a separate access code.

Existing Internet Options
Limited internet access remains available for British Airways flyers on most of the airline's aircraft using its .air platform.
Participants of BA’s loyalty club are able to transmit texts and text-based correspondence in the air free of charge, whereas passengers looking to watch audio, video, or movies on the journey if not travelling in premium cabins might be charged between £4.99 and twenty-one pounds ninety-nine per wifi plan.
